Eight mistakes that prevent you from waking up in the winter

Agree that in winter it is very difficult to get out of bed from under a warm blanket. However, if you have warm slippers nearby and a soft terry robe hangs on a chair, you will quickly warm up and your mood will improve. And what can prevent you from waking up?

1. You leave the alarm clock next to you and wait for “5 minutes” after it rings.

To get up quickly in the morning, set an alarm in another room (but make sure you can hear it from bed). Thus, you will have to get out of bed and go for the alarm clock. Set a signal for a time when you need to wake up. The main rule is to get out of bed immediately after turning off the alarm.

2.        Dim lighting in your apartment.

The best way to wake up is to turn on the lights in the room immediately. But this can only be done by someone who does not wake the household with this action. If your relatives are still asleep, turn on the lights at least in the kitchen.

3.        Sleep in a mask.

Sleep mask is good in the summer when the sun shines too brightly through the window. However, in winter the opposite is true. If you do not want to get up too late, let the natural light wake you up. The hormone melatonin will produce less, and your sleep will “fly away” from you faster.

4.        Sleep less than 6 hours.

Analyze your sleep schedule as a whole. You need to understand that in 5 hours of sleep you will not jump out of bed vigorous and full of energy.

Try to go to bed early (and since it gets dark early, this task becomes much easier). A healthy adult needs about 7-9 hours of sleep. Try to fall asleep as soon as you feel that you want to sleep.

5.        Waking up with negative emotions.

If you wake up every morning with a thought like “you need to wake up again, but you don’t want to”, don’t be surprised that instead of joy and lightness you feel tired and drowsy. Try to find yourself a morning ritual that will make you happy. For example, it is may be a cup of coffee with cinnamon or your favorite music. However, the main thing is the desire to have a good mood!

6. Neglect of aromatherapy.

The smell of citrus will help you get out of bed in the morning. It can be either an aroma lamp with aromatic oil, or just a peeled orange, which can be eaten without leaving the bed. The main thing is to feel the invigorating aroma.

If you like the smell of coffee, you can turn on the coffee maker as soon as you wake up. The aroma will help you wake up and drink an invigorating cup of coffee.

7. You are not checked for magnesium deficiency regularly.

If you sleep long enough, the alarm clock is in another room, but it does not help and you continue to feel lethargic and not energetic, then in this case consult your doctor.

Persistent drowsiness may be due to a lack of magnesium (and other trace elements). You should not self-medicate, it is better to pass a blood test, and the doctor will prescribe treatment.

A significant part of magnesium reserves is spent by the body to deal stress, neutralization of polluted air, pesticides, metabolic disorders (obesity, diabetes, myocardial infarction, PMS).
